amazing!!!

I can"t even put to words how relieving it is to have such amazing insurance. Ruby was extremely sick and no one, not even the vet, knew what the problem was until a series of tests were conducted. I didn't have to bat an eye at the cost of these tests which made a very stressful situation a lot more manageable.Thank you Trupanion for all of your care and efforts. From all of Ruby"s loved ones

Absolutely terrific to deal with

I can't say enough about Trupanion, their professionalism; how they keep the patient's human update; their compassion. I would recommend this company in a mini-second to my friends (just about all of whom are pet owners.

Scam at best...

Horrible. 0 if possible.We have had Trupanion insurance for over 3 years now and Trupanion has not paid a single claim. Each claim submitted has taken over a month to finalize and each time they come back and deny the claim. If a vet wrote down that your dog fell down, Trupanion equates that to your dog having a history of seizures. They find something in your pets medical history that they can stretch into being something else to deny your claim. This has happened 3-4 times to us in 3 years. When we originally signed up, we had a ~$20 premium with zero deductible. 3 years later with zero claims paid to us, our premium is nearly $45 with a $250 deductible. I cannot stress enough what an absolute scam this company is. Horrible product, horrible service. Steer clear.

Excellent coverage, laborious paperwork for me/vet

A far superior insurance company to my first company. Very caring, helpful customer support. The actual overage and pay out on the claims were far superior to a prior company I have dealt with.The only major drawback was that every invoice required a claim for signed by my veterinarian even though 98% of the invoices related to the onset of my dog's illness. this was frustrating for the veterinarian, her front desk staff and myself even though I was very organized in my approach to this matter.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
