Emergency Surgery

Ally my 4 month old Golden Retriever required emergency stomach and intestinal surgery after consuming an ear of corn on the 4th of July. Knowing surgery was the only option to save her life, I didn't think twice. It was such a relief when the bill came to know Trupanion was there to help. Thank you Trupanion, it only took once for my family and I to be true believers in what you do.

Excellent Service

I have been so pleased with Trupanion. Sophie has allergies and the meds are very expensive, so this insurance has been a life saver. The form is easy to fill out and they are quick to respond.

Excellent

My dog had major ear surgery for both ears. It was quite expensive. Trupanion submission of claims was very easy and payment was extremely timely. The 2 times I called with questions, they were answered quickly and their representative was very sympathetic.

Worry-free claim processing

Our dog had to be hospitalized in an emergency at the local VCA for extreme vomiting.The veterinarians were concerned and ran a battery of tests on her. We were worried how our claim would be processed and how long it would; the VCA submitted the claim for and less than 48h later we received confirmation of elligibility.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
