Reliable Insurance

We have been using Trupanion for several years for our two English Bulldogs. After Princess developed seizures we had to begin the claims process and to our surprise, Trupanion was very easy to work with and very clear in their communication. All of the eligible claims have been covered as stated in the policy and payments mailed promptly. Their customer service and claims process is very efficient. I also appreciate that the claims can be submitted a variety of ways (snail mail, email or fax). I would absolutely recommend Trupanion.

You can count on TruPanion. They care.

My dogs have been insured with TruPanion since I got them. I have a French bulldog who has brachycephalic syndrome, and has had two surgical procedures. I don't know what I would have done without TP. It's bad enough to be worried frantic about your dog, without not being able to pay for their care. They are prompt and courteous and show a genuine concern about the pets.

Happy customer

I have had Trupanion for several years and have been very happy with the service I receive. They have very clear guidelines of what is covered and what is not. My claims are handled quickly and any questions I have are answered by the phone staff clearly and in detail. I work in pet retail and recommend them regulary

Very good company

This is the second claim for my Bichon Frise. Trupanion handled my claim expeditiously. I have nothing but kind expressions of appreciation for Trupanion and their excellent service.

Easiest no questions asked provider

We have an English bulldog who has suffered from numerous health conditions. It's tough enough to watch your pet suffer and would be so unfortunate not to have coverage to pay his expenses. Trupanion has always provided us coverage we need in a timely manner!

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
