Great Experience

I am RVT with 27 years of experience. I had to takeep my 9 month old Brussels mix to the emergency for foreign body ingestion. My first claim ever and very pleased with the outcome. Not only was my fog ok Trupanion proceseed my claim the next day and had the check on its way. The staff was great helping me file it since I had never done it before. I would recommend Trupanion to ALL of my clients.

Trupanion initial claim review

We have used this twice. Although the monthly premium is a bit high the 90% reimbursement is much better than other insurance we have used. The only offset on the score is the higher deductible vs. the payment.

Best pet insurance money can buy!

I purchased pet insurance from Trupanion when my German Shepherd was 3 months old. When Levi was about 8 months old, he tore ligaments in both front legs while chasing larger dogs at the dog park. Trupanion paid out $7000 almost immediately. I have had to purchase several allergy meds recently and the claims are often paid the same day I filed the claim. A great company.

Great coverage, claim processing and service!

All the folks at Trupanion have provided the best service I could have asked for in my time of need. My dog was seriously injured in a dog fight and they helped me through all the processing every step of the way. All emails, questions and claims were answered quickly and processed faster than any insurance carrier I have ever had. It's a pleasure to carry Trupanion for my pet insurance.

Fast response and the claim was approved!

I'm a happy customer of trupanion. They have been so quick to respond to my claims and I typically get compensated just as quickly. I also appreciate the follow-up letters inquiring if my pup is doing well.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
