Emergency bowel obstructions surgery

My dog got into the garbage and required an emergency bowel obstruction surgery. The costs of this surgery were around the $5000 mark and without my insurance we would not have been ableTo afford it. The process of creating and submitting a claim was very easy and I received my money within a week of the surgery. Mojo is doing Great and recovering well. We are 3 weeks post surgery. The process was way easier than I anticipated. Glad I chose trupanian.

Price Increases

The service I get from Trupanion overall is great. My vet puts my claims in electronically and I get notified of the coverage within the same day. This is great as have a recurring prescription for my Dane named Aries. I only have to pay the difference now instead of the whole bill and having to wait to be reimbursed. My only worry is as the premium has increased twice on me, I am now worried as I approach $100.00 a month I may soon be getting priced out of what I can afford. Then my Pet will suffer if I have to cancel the premium.

Fabulous company

Trupanion far surpassed my expectations. The staff are all very friendly, caring and helpful individuals that made a difficult time much easier to get through. Our interactions were not just about money, but the staff truly cared about what we were going through at the time. Thank you to all for their help and support.

Great Response

Your company responded quickly to my inquiries in to pre-approval for pending surgery for my female cat. When another problem was detected before her surgery could be scheduled, your coverage took care of most costs. Payment was received from the company once I submitted all invoices in a fairly reasonable time. Would recommend issuing one cheque rather than one for each invoice.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
