Great Company

Caring staff, nearly complete coverage that is easily modifiable depending on what you want for a deductible or a monthly payment and best of all they covered my puddy's meds. They're really fast if you have a vet that uses Trupanion Express, a system that allows the company to respond within hours. Also, be sure before you begin the coverage you get the Pawprint done and ask your vet to update your records with the company from time to time; both will save time in the long run.

Wonderful service and support

We got off to a rocky start with Trupanion, who claimed that my cat's illnesses were pre-existing conditions. I spent some time on the phone until I finally talked to Kristy and everything changed. She agreed that his conditions were new and that they would cover them in full - and they have done so ever since. Our large bill for surgery ($5,300) was processed on receipt and we had the check in a week. He is now doing very well and we are very happy with the service that we are getting. My advice to others is to question denials of claims, and to push for reviews of any negative decisions.

THE BEST SERVICE!

I am extremely impressed with Trupanion. We have submitted several claims and in a RAPID manner they were processed and we were reimbursed with direct deposit, within a couple of days. I have called a couple of times and the customer service is wonderful, they are caring, knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommend Trupanion!

Caring, polite & quick service!

Less than two weeks ago my dog was admitted to the emergency clinic for toxicity.You can probably relate that I was equally worried about my furbaby as I was about the money. As soon as I brought my little fluffball home I contacted Trupanion - spoke with a very caring customer service representative - and my claim was on it's way for review minutes later. Less than two weeks and my refund is already being sent out in the mail. I can't express more how happy I am that I chose Trupanion as my insurance provider.

Monthly Cost

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
