Fast and reliable service

I have now been paying pet insurance for over 8 years but I was always skeptical whether or not this was worthy since my dog was healthy and doesn't have any major issues. Now that my dog is 9 yrs old and that she's getting some issues, I found that the multiple claims I had filed were processed quickly and one small misunderstanding was made about a deductible that was taken off was solved just from a phone call.Josée

fair to good coverage

Deductible 350 each incident. Better to charge monthly amount highter so there is only one deductible per year.

Dog diagnosed with Addison's disease

My dog was diagnosed with Addison's disease. There were numerous visits to the vet for tests and to balance his medication. Trupanion has been wonderful with the quick response to my claim and giving me advice as to further claims.

Incredibly efficient

Trupanion is an excellent pet insurance company. the service is quick, efficient and genuinely caring. I have 2 cats and one of which has sking problems and as expected Trupanion is there to look after the unforeseen care that she (the cat) needs. Thank you

Pneumonia Reimbursement

The reimbursement process went a bit slower than our last one due to the company not receiving first the fax, then and email to claims, but a representative in the company was very helpful and gave me her own email address and that took care of it.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
