Examination of illness of pet

Although, I very pleased with the Trupanion insurance coverage for my dog, I don't understand when you take your dog in to the vet for an illness, why the examination of said dog is not covered. How else can the vet do the diagnosis and decide what to do for the animal?

The best thing could have happened to my dog

My pet has had allergies through the year of allergy I told her vet do anything you need to do. I had full confidence that experience are not issue for her treatment. It's all over now she is healthy. Trupanion gives me and my dog peace of mind that at any time she needs attention money is not our concern oly her well being.

Could't believe how fast refund came!

Took my dog to the vet for a severe cough. Less than two weeks after the visit, I received the refund check from Trupanion. My other carrier took forever to send the check. What a nice surprise receiving the money so fast.

Superb Service

I am absolutely satisfied with the superb service and very quick hassle-free manner that Trupanion handled my claim. They very efficiently contacted the vets and got the medical records supporting the claim and paid it with extraordinary promptness.

Trupanion is Stella's lifesaver - truly :)

When my son brought home Stella, I fell in love with her !! I never had the opportunity to have a dog at home - I was a single Mom and always running around to soccer and karate with Ryan, working full time and on the weekends and we just couldn't devote the time to a dog. Well, Ryan was now all grown up and graduated from college and needed to move home for a little while and he brought home Stella - a 5 month old brindle English Bulldog. Thank God my vets at South Federal Animal Hospital told me about Trupanion. I immediately signed Stella up with your company and you have been helping me keep her well for over 3 years now. I didn't know the English Bulldog breed at all - all the issues they have - I thank Trupanion everyday for being there for me - Trupanion pays claims timely and with no hassle at all - just ensure that all the forms are completed and proper documentation is attached. I recommend Trupanion to everyone I meet, especially if they own an English Bulldog or any of the bullie breeds. I feel I have a true companion and advocate for Stella in the "Trupanion" family. I will gladly pay my monthly fee to Trupanion, to continue to receive the best care for Stella. I will take the time to write a formal letter to Trupanion, but for now, I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart - your company is wonderful and a Godsend !!!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
