Smart Choice

I'm so glad my Vet suggested I get Pet Insurance for my puppy. He highly recommended Trupanion and I trust his recommendations. My Maltese, Alberto, was diagnosed with Allergies in the first 2 years of life. Trupanion has been a saving grace for us to cover his testing, injections, etc. Everyone should insure their pets; they are family. Every experience I have had in speaking with Representatives to filing claims has been positive and supportive. Trupanion truly cares about your pets! It is a smart and responsible choice to get Trupanion for your four legged family members!

Professional and Supportive and our Saving Grace!

Our puppy has faced a lot of unfortunate issues of late and Trupanion has been our saving grace. They've been there for us every step of the way. When we've had questions, they've been able to answer them in a concise, professional and courteous manner. Going through any surgery with your pet is very difficult, but having Trupanion on our side has helped us a great deal. Signing up with Trupanion is the best thing we could've done for our little lab puppy. Thank you!

100% worth having my pet insured!

I hesitate, like everyone else, about having my indoor cats insured. Is it worth it? Will I ever need it and if I do will insurance even cover? The answer to all those is yes! My cat ate a chewable pill meant for my dog. I turned around for a second and apparently it tasted good because it was immediately gone. I called the vet because I knew dosage had to be far beyond the dose for a much smaller animal. Sure enough, she had to be hospitalized for two days to flush it out. I was in a panic and thank goodness she ended up being okay. I called Trupanion and filed a claim. The associates were very friendly. I sent over the paperwork and the next day I received an email with details on the check I would be receiving. They paid 90%. I started her as a kitten so had a zero deductible. Compared to any human insurance I've dealt with this was so smooth. I was so happy I ended up insuring her..and so glad she is okay. No more chewable pills, just the gross ones they'll never touch unless we put it in a pill pocket...lesson learned.

So responsive and caring!

My cat has been treated for allergies for the longest time. Your response time on my claims has been phenomenal. You are much better than my health insurer! I will always be a loyal customer and I recommend you any chance I get. Keep up the good work!!

Amazing

I have written several reviews for Trupanion and will continue to do so. They are amazing - everyone who answers the phone is kind and helpful, they work with you to get claims resolved quickly. I recently had some surgery for my dog, Yoshi and they worked with me and the vet clinic to get the surgery pre-approved so my only out of pocket was my 10% as I have met the deductible. I cannot say enough good things about them. It is rare that a company does what they say they will with generosity, kindness and caring - they do. Trupanion is the best. I would recommend everyone get Trupanion for the pet companions.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
