Best pet insurance around

My dog Bella had knee surgery in June and I was very surprised at how fast the claim was paid. The hospital faxed the claim and the money was in my account within a week. they paid 90% of everything after deductible,except office visit. She is in rehab now and so far they are paying for it too.

BEST Decision I Ever Made

We have had Trupanion insurance for both of our dogs and both of our cats for almost 5 years now. Our one dog ended up with serious allergies and we have had multiple claims for his ongoing treatment. Trupanion has been a true life-saver for us (and him!). They process claims within a day or so, send me an email explaining exactly what they are paying, and then I usually have a check by week's end. The most amazing thing was when our dog was finally diagnosed with allergies, and Trupanion asked if we had had Rocky treated in the past for these complaints. We had, but never submitted those invoices as we did not know what the diagnosis was. Trupanion contacted our prior vet's office, obtained the records and bills, and applied all of those visits to take care of our $500 deductible. Amazing!! What insurance company does that?? We have also had two knee surgeries on our other dog which were handled just as quickly, and we continue to be so impressed and pleased with this company. Their customer service cannot be beat and they truly do make the process painless :)

must have if you love your pet

I am a veterinarian but i still has my pet's insurance because sometimes i need to take them to emergency hospital or to a specialist. this time, my pet had blood in urine, I took him to an emergency hospital without any hesitation. He got better, and trupanion covered for all the diagnostics and treatment. It was perfect experience

Great service

Our 4 year old cat, Sophie, was diagnosed with a liver disease which came on very suddenly. She spent a week in the Emergency hospital, and has been on special food. Her treatment involved several very expensive procedures. Trupanion paid the claim promptly and without question. In fact, I had the cheque before the credit card bill so Sophie's treatment was due. A difficult time with Sophie was made much easier knowing that because of our insurance, we could afford the treatment necessary to save her life!

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
