Terrific Company

My puppy, Diggin suffered heat stroke and was rushed to an emergency vet facility. After checking in and nervously waiting to hear about Diggin I was told that the bill could be as high as $5000 but they would check with Trupanion to see what charges they would pre approve. Within 30 minutes a representative from Trupanion called to say they would preapprove all but the deductible of $250. I was on the 30 day free trial for Trupanion and they still were willing to cover Diggin. Luckily Diggin recovered and thankfully needed only part of the approved amount. I received a check in the mail within a week of submitting my claim. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company and their representatives. They are TERRIFIC!!!!

Exceptional Service

We always called Bella our indestructible dog, but when we got insurance for our new puppy we enrolled her as well.Shortly before her annual checkup we noticed some lameness and that she was peeing more on walks. $900 later we had our diagnoses. Within 3 days Trupanion processed our claim. It was quick, easy, and painless with email updates along the way. Thank you Trupanion!

Amazed and Pleased with the Service

Just like with human health insurance, one never knows how pet insurance really works until you have to use it. My dog, Kieran, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease two months ago. It took Trupanion about 2 weeks to act on my claim, waiting for my vet to submit Kieran's entire medical history to them. Once this had been completed and I had met my deductible, Trupanion started sending me checks to reimburse me for payments to my vet (five visits so far). Now my vet is submitting the claim, getting confirmation from Trupanion, and reducing my bill by my co-payment percentage -- all while I wait (5 minutes max, so far...) I am very amazed, and very pleased, with their service. Kieran's blood platelet count will have to be monitored for the rest of his life, and I have confidence that Trupanion will continue to cover those expenses.

We are extremely grateful for Trupanion Insurance!

Trupanion works closely with our veterinary office, Baring Blvd. Vet in Sparks, NV. This recent episode was over $1,000+. What a crisis we would have faced financially in addition to the emotional upset of Plexy's illness if we had not had insurance for her. Because Trupanion and our vet work closely together, our vet accepts our portion of the payment from us and gets the rest of the payment directly from Trupanion. This is HUGE for us!

I advice all my customers to get pet insurance!

long story short; mt cat paul developed a urinary blockage, rushed him to the emergency vet. He ended up staying a full week, having two surgeries and multiple procedures. I was devastated. The very first day I was charged almost $2000.00. The charges kept accruing. I was an emotional wreck. Then I kind of slapped myself, and reminded myself that I would not have to make this decision about discontinuing care, BECAUSE THIS IS THE REASON I HAVE PET INSURANCE!!! I am sooooo very fortunate that he was able to come home with me. Without Trupanion, I would not have my cat. The first week of care was aprox. $10,000. Ten thousand dollars!!!! I ended up paying aprox. $2000.00.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
