Compassionate and Helpful

Trupanion is the best. The unthinkable happened to our 8 month old puppy Nicki. She was run over in our driveway. Her chances looked very slim however her surgeons and doctors at Red Bank Veterinarian Hospital mended her breaks and injuries. From the date. From the accident date of June 23 through today Trupanion has been compassionate, thoughtful, informative, and prompt with regard to our situation and insurance needs. Nicki is on her way to recovery and her claims have already been paid by Trupanion. They're actually quicker at settling claims than my personal medical insurer.

Grateful to insurance and happy it is so easy!

I have never had pet insurance but decided it was worth it after several catastrophic health issues with previous pets. I couldn't be more satisfied with Trupanion unless it was free! I have had three claims in 1-1/2 years, all submitted by my vet. The claims were all paid promptly, in less than two weeks.

Excellent service with my claims

My dog has liver disease and takes expensive medicine for it daily. My pet insurance with Trupanion helps out tremendously with reimbursement for 90% of the medicine's cost each time the prescription is refilled. I highly recommend this insurance to other pet owners as it gives me peace of mind by helping out with the budget when illnesses strike.

Excellent Insurance

Our little Pom Mikka has chronic leg ligament and knee issues. We have been able to provide her with excellent on-going care given wonderful support we have gotten from Trupanion. They have stood by us all the way in good times and bad (we also have Mikka's full sister and she is healthy as an ox). Their support and consistency has mitigated a significant concern -- being that good veterinarian care is expensive. Without them, I we would have been really strapped in providing Mikka with the good care she needs. Trupanion is simply the best.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
