I recently got involved in an accident…

I recently got involved in an accident whiles it was snowing and was giving a rental car which was supposed to last me for 30 days per the policy I signed . I received a call on the 20th day whiles I was at work to render the car immediately and if I decide to keep the car , I need to bear the cost of the rental . It was such an awful experience and noting has been done about my claim till date . Avoid sonnet by all cost . They are not responsive to calls and don’t care about their customers

Dreadful experience with Sonnet…

Dreadful experience with Sonnet Insurance. I handle the tenant insurance for my mother and tried remotely after 20 minutes on hold to confirm that MY new credit card was lodged for payment - as the previous card, also MINE, was compromised - per the email I received - from Sonnet Insurance. I had completed the change online but just wanted confirmation from Sonnet so as not to allow the insurance to lapse. Never had a problem setting the policy up, and I was the recipient of all emails, had the policy#, all relevant details about the insured, the property etc. Just wanted to CONFIRM they would be taking payment from MY credit card. Was not asking them to give me any information or do anything other than to say “yes” when I gave them my credit card # to confirm. Nope. I guess there is a plague of scam artists giving money to insurance companies. 🙄 The “Customer service Hero” interaction turned out to be a Zero. If the policy lapses, whatever. I will look elsewhere. I certainly would not give a dime to Sonnet and will certainly diarize not to renew when renewal rolls around. Caveat emptor. Edit. Re: response from Sonnet. You have my name, email, my phone number. If you are actually interested in resolving my poor experience, why not REACH OUT TO THE CUSTOMER rather than just posting your phone number and the email contact offer with a vague offer to help?

They were generally unresponsive…

They were generally unresponsive overcharging for changes that I had notified them about in advance. They also decided to cancel my insurance early due to changes to the Alberta legislation

Sonnet jacks up price after 1st year

When i picked up Sonnet, as a 47 year old driver with low km's per year I was given a quote I felt was inline with my needs, and while I understand sometimes increases happen, after the first year my insurance premium was increased 27.51%... a 27.5% increase for my second year with this company. Basically using my money to pay for their bad decisions. Either that or fattening their wallets. I believe I was catfished that first year, and it seems to be a common tactic, there is no rewards for loyalty to this company. find anyone else.
