Stay FAR away from Sonnet Insurance
Stay FAR away from Sonnet Insurance. This is by far the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with. Their customer service is nonexistent, their claims agents do not care about you, and they will purposely delay your claim with little to no communication.
Despite being an “online-based company,” they don’t update your information properly, and good luck trying to reach them—chat takes 30-45 minutes, and calling means waiting at least an hour just to be met with empty promises of callbacks that never happen.
To top it all off, they added someone to my policy that I don’t even know, and I’ve been paying for them for an entire year! Absolute scam of a company. Avoid at all costs.
Back in January, I was involved in an accident. Since then, I’ve had my vehicle repaired and everything taken care of. All that is left is for Sonnet to reach out to enterprise so I can get my security deposit refund refunded.
But unfortunately, my claims officers, is refusing to answer any of my calls or voicemails

In the last month, I have left several voicemails and I’ve heard nothing back. And on top of this every time I use their live chat it always gets disconnected while in the middle of a conversation.
I am very disappointed as I’ve been with this company for over six years. All this time I had no idea Sonnet was so unprofessional.
For anyone looking for companies avoid this one.
Hard to reach them,,,,if you get somone online then one's will pass you over to another extension wait another 30min.
I ask them to send me the pink slips... THEY WON'T. I need to print it out myself.I have to do their job although I don't work for the insurance company. ( I got no printer and I am 15km away from library).
They like to take your money but service? NOOOO
( I got a reply from them ( below) as you can see they are not focusing the help me trying to drag me through again to wait 1 hr to speak to them + and GUESS what they will say.. " YOU NEED TO PRINT IT OUT THE PINK SLIP YOURSELF". (I already went through that).. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO DEAL WITH THEM...
Their system is messed up and all of a sudden stopped taking payments out of my account and said I needed to update my information. I did and called them and they said oh it will come out in a few weeks, fast forward and I get an email basically stating that because “I missed a payment they are giving me more time to pay this missed payment” I called and begged them to take it out. So they put their mess up on the client and then want to double my insurance payment in April. Not happening. They increase your insurance when absolutely no claims. Not available on weekends. I will be finding a new insurance company ASAP. 20% discount because I have a tangerine bank account isn’t worth this headache of a company.
Update: I called them and there is nothing they can do apparently, and if I phone in to pay my payment on time then there is no guarantee that the double payment will be removed. And when I asked to speak to a manager I was told they have none and that I have to wait 3-5 business days for one to contact me. This is absolutely ridiculous, and sonnets generic response did nothing for me.
Hello. I have to sent kudos to Kionna, the customer service Lady I dealt with on the phone this morning. Well spoken, informative, polite, and seemed genuinely interested in helping me out. I was looking for information on starting a claim, and, never having done this before I had a bunch of questions. I'm sure she has dealt with confused old farts before, but she was patient, and explained my options thoroughly. She was a true pleasure to deal with, and having had a background in sales and call center training, She hit all the right notes walking me through your procedures. Please pass along my sincere thanks to her, and be sure to reward her as a great representative for your company.
