I was so pleasantly surprised how…

I was so pleasantly surprised how quickly pumpkin paid for the medical bills and approved the whole procedure. It really gave us confidence to go to an emergency room, knowing we had such great insurance. I’ve already recommended Pumpkin care to several friends.

I literally cannot describe how easy and awesome it has been working with Pumpkin Pet Insurance. I have no idea what I would do without them. I have had a troublesome cat that has gotten into multiple accidents. It's easy to get someone on the phone and discuss payment options. I wish my health insurance was as easy to deal with.

Pumpkin is the best insurance company I’ve ever dealt with. The claims process was easy and the reimbursements arrived very quickly. I will recommend Pumpkin to every pet parent I know. The peace of mind I have knowing that cost isn’t a barrier to caring for my cat is worth every penny of premium.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
