Quick and easy claim process
Molly got into something which turned into a foreign body in her stomach. Three visits to the vet later and she was in surgery. Because we decided to invest in pet insurance last year, there was no stress when deciding how to proceed with treatment. The claim process was very easy, a single page! However, depending on the vet service this may complicate the claim process. Fortunately, my vet clinic was very helpful and faxed the claim for me. They also promptly emailed the requested documentation to PetsPlusUs. For me, thanks to the wonderful staff at the vet clinic, my claim for Molly was quick and easy. It was processed within 7-10 business and I received the reimbursement directly into my account. Thank you, St Lawrence Animal Hospital and PetsPlusUs. Molly is in full recovery!
Monthly Cost
Monthly costs vary based on your pet’s species, age, and location, as well as your chosen plan. Customize coverage to suit your pet’s needs and your budget.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill and includes coverage of exam fees and taxes.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $5,000 in Accident Only coverage, or $7,500 or $15,000 in Accident & Illness coverage annually, depending on your chosen plan.
Deductible
$100 – $700 age-based annual deductible.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
There is no upper age limit.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins after 48 hours for accidents. A policy waiting period of 14 days applies for illnesses.
Exclusions
All pet insurance plans have limitations and exclusions. Medical Conditions that are noted, symptomatic or diagnosed prior to enrollment, or during a waiting period are pre-existing to Coverage and not eligible for reimbursement.
All Accident & Illness policies are underwritten upfront so pet owners are aware of any pre-existing conditions that will not be covered prior to making a claim.
