Could not be more *dissatisfied* with Pets Best
I have now filed my first two claims with Pets Best. They are for my new puppy, who is now eight months old. Pets Best has done nothing but give me the run around and request more and more records from my veterinarian to pay the puppy's vet bills. They continue to request more and more information from the veterinarian and me to determine whether the claims should be paid. Two claims over a 6-month period, and they have paid me not a dime. I have paid them for months. They have paid me not a single benefit. Nothing. My veterinarian now had to go through and rewrite and resubmit documents to their satisfaction. Then, still nothing. More Rejection. More delay.
I'm not paying a monthly premium for a hassle. And I did read somewhere that they are somehow connected to or financed by Synchrony Bank - an organization I have come to find has not always been on the up and up. I will drop Pets Best the first chance I get, probably today.
If you choose them, it's your choice. But, you do it now, going in informed as to how they actually operate.

Disabled pet mom robbed by pet insurance
Im disabled and was talked into pet insurance by my vet. It took me years to realize what a waste pet insurance is. I have to pay up front, submit for reimbursement, pay the premium and deductible... even with a high apr on my credit card, i would have saved money without pet insurance, especially when they don't pay for things in the first place. I pay them 800 a year, i pay vet 300 a year, i pay 500 a year for medication and they reimburse me 200ish, due to deductible and not covered so i pay 1400 annual for my pet care versus 800. Pet insurance is a scam.

Prompt, Accurate Reimbursement
Nora, our Boston Terrier pup, has been insured by Pets Best for more than a year. We appreciate the seamless way underwriting interacts with her veterinarian if necessary while expediting payment. I am aware of what is not covered in this policy, so there are never any surprises. The on-line system is easy to use, and I am grateful for the help these payments make in keeping Nora healthy. Customer service reps are really top notch.

The PetsBest phone representative was nice, courteous and professional on the phone. She answered all my questions and quickly resolved the issue.

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.
Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states).

The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method.

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan.

$50 – $1,000 annually.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date.
