Very happy here!

I've done nothing but love this insurance company for my fur babies. I've been with them for about 1 1\2 years, so not long but they have been what they advertise and I've got no complaints. I like the options to choose from and chose what would work best for us and it has!

Pets "worst" insurance

This is the worst pet insurance company I have ever had. They deny every claim and say it's pre existing. I had a 9 year old dog that had a gastropexy procedure while being spay. I knew that spaying wasn't covered but what happened after the surgery is what gets me. She became very sick, vomiting, diarrhea and wouldn't eat. Took her to the vet and she was treated for dehydration and sent home with fluids and meds. After continuing to be sick and losing weight she went back to the vet for more fluids and now blood work. Vet said due to the gastropexy and manipulation of her starch with the procedure he treated her for pancreatitis. Pets worst denied the claim and said it was pre existing. There is no way it was pre existing as most dogs die within days of untreated pancreatitis. I even had my vet write them a letter. They told me I could file an appeal which I did. This was back in April. It is now August and it's still under review. If you are lucky enough to get reimbursed it takes forever to receive it. Steer clear of this company, not worth it.

We have had coverage for five years

We have had coverage for five years, and currently have plans for three pets. We've encountered only a couple of issues, and those issues were promptly addressed and resolved to our satisfaction. The ease of submitting a claim and receiving reimbursement as a direct deposit removes much of the stress and worry involved with vet visits and illnesses. I truly wish we had discovered Pets Best years prior to when we did.

Great!

Very easy to submit claims and get reimbursement quickly, efficiently, clearly. I love that they send all info via email including eobs and alerts in regards to status of payment. I was expecting a long turn around in payment for some reason, & to my surprise I had my reimbursement in my account in less than 1wk from the claim being fully processed. It gives me so much peace/relief knowing that the insurance I chose and have been paying for about 2 yrs was there for our fur baby, couldn't have made it easier for us. Now that I have gotten a chance to use it, I plan on always making sure our fur baby is fully covered, because it is 10000% worth it. Rep was great too!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
