There is never a payout - always some reason why they wont

i have had pets best for 5 years now and we have tried a few claims though the years for our pooch. from injuries to cleanings...always a reason for them to decline - not one claim has ever been paid. I am cancelling and finding a new provider, would recommend avoiding them as they are a scam.

Pets Best Keeps Their Word - Amazing

This is the second time I've insured with Pets Best, once for my Pit that lived to 17 and now for three others. I feel a little guilty because a legitimate claim approved by Pets Best is costing them more than my monthly premium. In other words, they keep their word. It all balances out because my last dog lived a long super healthy life. Dogs don't live forever, unfortunately. But you can bet as long as I'm alive, I'll used Pets Best for all of my babies.

Good insurance

Good value insurance! They process claims an acceptable amount of time. My friends and I use this for all our pets and have had a good and efficient experience. I would recommend it. 👍

It would be better if the wellness…

It would be better if the wellness reimbursement was better. It’s preventative care for your pet so I don’t understand why the reimbursement isn’t automatically at 100%. Vaccines and exams should be fully covered.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
