Great service

The customer service rep was kind and sympathetic at the loss of my pet. Easily and quickly terminated my policy. Previous claims process timely.

I was still paying more out of pocket then getting reimbursed by the insurance policy. It was not worth for us.

Substantial Rate Increase when claims are submitted

I finally submitted a claim for my dogs vet visits since it seems like she may have a bit of a allergy and ear issue. I submitted her vet records and bills and the very next day after I submitted them I got my rate increase with my renewal that was coming due. My rate increased by $122! The "explanation" for the increase is due to age. My dog isn't even 3 years old. It's pretty shady due to the fact that you can't go find another pet insurance due to their "Pre-Existing" clause. So my only option that I was told is I can change my coverage to lower my premium! That was the solution, So Now I will file and contact the department of insurance because this is a shady way to do business, not to mention they aren't allowed to increase rates due to filed claims. Absolutely disguested because they will continue to increase the rates year after year.

Pets Best...my opinion, is the Best!

I choose Pets Best over others that I have tried in the past. I love the easy submittal of claims and the quick turn around by the staff! Claims are quick and easy to do and the staff notifies you when they received your claim or other document(s) submitted. The prices for their service is very reasonable and the coverage is great! My cats are very satisfied with them, and so are we!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
