They came through when needed

They weren't able to pre-approve a dental procedure, but they ultimately reimbursed me for over 70% of the cost of an almost $6000 dental bill, which I'll say is a HUGE help!

I renewed insurance with my 1 yr old…

I renewed insurance with my 1 yr old baby now...and easily updated my coverage. Have great experiences both phone and online. I'll continue and Hope "MeadowVII" Lives another 100 yrs.

Solid but claims time needs help

Overall I appreciate pets best. Easy to submit claims and they have been covered which puts my mind at ease. However, PLEASE hurry up the claims processing time. 20 days for a $1.8k claim is almost an entire paycheck for most people and waiting for that is really frustrating. Then add on the direct deposit time. Almost a month to wait for reimbursement is a long time. Yes I have care credit and use it but that doesn’t mean it is always the answer

Won’t pay to have teeth pulled that were hurting dog.

The worst paying pet insurance. Deny, deny, deny. Won’t pay to have teeth pulled that were causing pain because I didn’t have them cleaned under anesthesia 18 months before. I won’t have teeth cleaned under anesthesia unless it is hurting my dog since my daughters dog died under anesthesia while getting his teeth cleaned.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
