Great company and policies

After trying out several other companies with no luck, Petsbest was perfect for us. Signing up took literally minutes, and the policies were very compatible to our breed's health needs.

Money pit!

This company does not process reviews in a timely manner. They will send emails or include on the app that they are waiting for paperwork from the veterinary, but paperwork has been provided. I submitted paperwork on the 15th, paperwork from the vet was submitted on the 18th, and the 1st of the next month there were no updates that the paperwork had been received-only they were still waiting for paperwork. When I called to inquire about the delay, I was told it could take anywhere from 15-42 days to complete the claim! I stated that I pay for insurance every 30 days but my claim cannot be processed for 42 days! Only to be told that the claim may be denied. The website states fast and easy service. The claims representative stated that was only for wellness checks, which is not what the website states. Long story short...I cancelled the policy because this was not the first time I encountered the same experience. Run from this pet service or should I say-lack of service.

I have been a PetsBest client for over…20 years

I have been a PetsBest client for over two decades. They have never failed to pay an eligible claim! Most recently, my Airedale Wyatt Earp tore a muscle in his hip. Diagnosis, treatment and rehab bill was over $5000. They paid without an issue. The only problem I have is that the length of time between incident and pay out was lengthy. When I first signed up it was between seven and ten days. Now it is usually a month, give or take a few days, for them to pay. But I am so grateful for their coverage.

We're only crazy to not have had insurance for our other dogs!

We're only crazy to not have had Pets Best insurance for our dogs. Our Siberian husky. Mika. Has had a major surgery which we were caught off guard about!!! Pets best paid all of the bills, in full. As soon as they were presented. Pets best is the best. And we've been telling people about this and they have been getting it for their pets ! The absolute best thing 🙏❤️

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
