Accidental Ingestion Means Toxin, ONLY

While I understand that insurance companies exist to turn a profit, their earnings come from providing a service. I was heartily disappointed that Maggie's claim was denied, twice, because the (known) ingested item is not "toxic," but "an irritant", despite its doing liver damage to the tiny animal. I get the impression that any claim I submit will be denied for some technicality. The event was an accidental ingestion in that it harmed the dog. I had the "pet owners' peace of mind" offered is promotional materials up until the moment I learned of the denial. Now I know that profits trump pets and I will stop recommending Pets Best.

Pet's Best couldn't be better !!

Our Pet's Best insurance for our dog has been amazing ! It has relieved so much anxiety over the care of our dog, and the Pet's Best reps we've spoken with have been hugely helpful and pleasant. The coverage has been fantastic, and the claims are processed and paid within a day or two of submission ! Really, how could it be better ?? Now if only they could train human health insurance providers to do the job equally well ;~))

NO CLAIMS DEPARMENT CANT ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT DENYED CLAIMS THEY ARE A SCAM LOOK ON YELP

awful this company is complete and total BS they dont have a claims department or at least u cant talk to them and the customer support staff wont even ask them a question for you THEY ARE 100% SCAM ARTIST !!! LOOK ON YELP !! OH AND THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE!!.. the day we enrolled with them a 5 star review was posted with an account with my name and i DID NOT WRIGHT IT !!! DONT TRUST THEM SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!!

PETS BEST HELP SAVE OUR CATS LIFE

Our cat had on going problems trying to urinate for years. So our boy Barnabas had a PU surgery that saved his life. He was also on the tv show "My Cat From Hell" so we really had to give him a second chance at life. Thank you PETS BEST

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
