Great Insurance. Peace of mind for pet owners on fixed income.

My husband and I are retired and on a fixed income. Pets Best Insurance allows us to have peace of mind that we will be able to properly care for our pet and not have to deny her the best care because of financial constraints!

Pets best is garbage when it comes to handling claims in a timely fashion.

Pets best makes it sound like they handle claims quick and easy with little hassle. That is far from the case, I have been waiting two weeks, and there has been absolutely no progress made. They almost act incompetent to stall out the process as long as possible. If they need info, they don’t contact you. They just wait until eventually you call to see about the progress of the claim. I literally had to hound them, I’m talking at least 5 phone calls cuz they kept saying they didn’t receive a fax. They come up with one bs story after another. My advice would be to use ASPCA for insurance. They don’t cover as much but they don’t jerk around and handle their business appropriately.

Pets Best provides great service

I think the employees of Pets Best are very knowledgeable, patient, courteous and professional. They seem to have an answer to the claims within 5 days, which I think is good and they justify very clearly the reason for their decision. I would highly recommend Pets Best.

Very simple to submit claim!

I love that I can upload my receipt/invoice to submit my claim on-line. There are no forms to fill out. So simple! I get an email when the claim is complete with an explanation of what was paid and what was not. Then the payment goes directly to my checking account. If you have a deductible, upload your receipt/invoice and they apply that to your deductible automatically. Simple and easy to do!

Pets Best Insurance is a necessity if…

Pets Best Insurance is a necessity if you have a pet. Their staff is knowledgeable, courteous and above all professional. When my pet needs medical assistance I don't hesitate to take him to our Vet because I know a lot of the services will be covered under my insurance policy. They are always available for consultation and extremely expedient in resolving claims fairly. I wish I had my health insurance policy with Pets best Company. John Baker

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
