Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

The coverage provided by Pets Best Insurance is awesome and my pooch has been insured through them for a few years now! In addition to the coverage which provides for a sense of security knowing that I don't have to hesitate to take my pooch to the veterinarian whether for a routine checkup or if an emergency would arise, I also absolutely love the peeps at Pets Best Insurance. Customer service has been superb; always helpful and explanatory when I have questions. I even recently received a phone call in follow up to a question I had after submitted a claim. This company truly deserves high praise - - - I believe that a company is only as good as the people who work within it! Thank you Pets Best!~

I have carried pet insiurance on my dogs for maybe 40 years or whenever VPI started. There was not much choice back then. In the last 10 years I havc switched to Pets Best. I believe it was recently bought by Aetna. I have 5 and 12 year old Greyhounds and another Greyhound who passsed away last year from chronic renal failure. There is nothing gimmicky aobut Pets Best.I had $10,000 in vet bills last year of which I paid maybe 25%. I have the policy that pays $7000 lieftime for an illneold has aobut run out of kidney ear ss. My 12 year old has aobut run out of benefits in that area. I tried to raise my younger Greyhound to a higher plan last year but was told the company declined to increase his isurance. If yu can tolerate the higher deductible per illness and get the $14000 per illness I think it is worth it if you spend money on your animals or would go into debt. at Pets Best payI also like ths the same for specialists becasue that is who both my dogs see now, an internist.

They seem to find a way to deny any claim over $300. They have even paid my cats claims for the exact same illness as my dog but since my dogs bill was over $500 they have found a way to deny the claim, this is the exact same diagnosis and not the first time.

I was very impressed by the fast turnaround and reimbursement was very good.

We have had 2 claims over $4000 in one month....Pets Best payed 80% of it within 10 days! Minimal paperwork. The staff was helpful and caring and even offered direct deposit if we needed the money quicker!! They really take the financial worry out of adopting, owning pets! Thank you, thank you! Ute Moeller
