Review of our claim took almost a month. Received EOB but still waiting for check! We have been with Pets Best for 9 years and the service just gets worse. My renew premium is over $2700 but at this point I can't change companies because of my dog's age, etc. It's a shame. This used to be a very good company.

Easy to access, frustrating simplification of reason for vet care

The turn around time for processing was much quicker than expected and the submission process was quick and easy. I only gave 3 stars out of 5 because I wasn't considered for reimbursement for dental cleanings. While I do understand that dental cleanings are normally routine, in this case my vet told me to schedule meelo for dental work to address the absorptive lesions and potential additional issues. Meelo is a young cat for whom I provide at home teeth brushing, so this dental work incident was definitely not routine at her young age.

We have been Blessed..

We have been Blessed to have this insurance for all of our pet's needs. We have 2 Blue Heeler mixes and 1 of them we've had a whirlwind of medical needs within less than 6 months. They've helped us tremendously and continue to help.

Do your research

claims take at a minimum 60 days to process. read the fine print as I ended up paying for most wellness visits out of pocket even though I purchased the top tier package. waiting for year to be up in order to cancel policy.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
