Do NOT use them

Do not use them under any circumstances. They did not provide me information on waiting periods before paying. They lied about coverage. They falsely denied a claim saying something which was not a medical condition until April had been documented in December of the previous year (it had not). Their customer service is rude, unhelpful, and takes an inordinate amount of time to get through. Their website is poorly designed and not conducive to human operation of what should be a basic function. Their 'edit claim' function doesn't allow you to actually edit a claim and only to post new attachments, rendering it useless. You are better served taking the money you would spend on them and shredding it. Terrible company that adds no value to the world and will not cover your pets medical procedures.

OVER one month to pay a claim

OVER one month to pay a claim. They said call wait times were 5 - 10 min. I have been on hold for over 45 min now. This is ridiculous. I have been waiting for over 5 weeks for a claim to be paid out. This is a constant with them. Over 2 months to pay out claims. This company is absolutely the worst. If my dog didn't have an illness, I would find a new insurance company. File a complaint on the BBB. It's the only way they respond.

Do not purchase this insurance

They don't really cover anything. I have been reimbursed maybe $150.00 out of over $700.00 in claims. They claim that an ear infection was a pre-existing condition. My dog has had their coverage since we got him. The first claim i ever filed was a wellness claim. The ear infection was not pre-existing. I will be changing his insurance at the beginning of 2022 since i have already met the $500.00 deductible for this policy. Terrible coverage. They take forever to process the claims as well.

They take forever to process any…

They take forever to process any claims, they make you jump through a lot of hoops, if you want an insurance you'll have to fight with and call every time you submit a claim, petsbest is a good choice.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
