Highly recommended!

Pets Best is one of the few insurances that covered exam fees, so I picked them and am so glad I did. They are very quick with their claims and even quicker to direct deposit your reimbursement. Even when a claim takes longer than usual, they'll email you to let you know. Highly recommend!

I have had Pets Best for almost 2 years…

I have had Pets Best for almost 2 years and they have been fantastic the entire team! Sadly, my older dog has had an injury and been diagnosed with recurring mass cell tumors in the last few months. Thankfully, Pets Best made his surgeries and treatment much more affordable after our deductible. Their team has been very helpful whenever I’ve reached out to check on a claim or ask about a pre-authorization. I would definitely recommend Pets Best to anyone with an aging pet!

Do not Purchase this Insurance

This pet insurance is the worst pet insurance company i have ever worked with. Their app never works, their new "online automated" system is a joke. I have been working on the same insurance claim for over 90 days. They asked me to re-open it 6 different times because they closed it after saying they didn't have enough documentation. When I send them all the documentation, the files don't get associated with the proper claim. THEN to make matters even worse if you try and call them you will wait on hold for no less than 30 minutes (doesn't matter time of day). The person on the phone will tell you it is sorted, and then incorrectly change the claim. SO now 1 claim that i am looking for coverage on because my dog had emergency care is probably going to sit in a dark admin abyss because they system says I am trying ot make a claim for a date range that spans 3 years. They asked me for 3 years of medical records, and they attached it to a claim so now it looks like I want reimbursement for all 3 years which I don't! I just want 1 date covered.

Awesome insurance company

I've had my policy for 3 years, and I'm very satisfied with Pets Best. I've also recommended them to some of my friends, and they have signed up too and had a very good customer experience.

Pets Best took care of my dog surgery expenses claim and covered most of my expenses. Received payment in fair amount of time.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
