Several issues with customer service at…

Several issues with customer service at the start of my dogs illness. This seemed to be due to covid staffing and it was resolved. Folks at customer service always polite and helpful.

Peace of mind w/Petsbest!

Our pup, Chip, has needed so many vet visits during his first year. He's frightened us with things as small as an upset stomach to as big as needing patellar luxation surgery to correct the equivalent of a dislocating knee. We can make our vet decisions with his health in mind--no concerns about money because Petsbest has come through for us EVERY TIME! We signed up for the 90% reimbursement plan and have probably saved over $7,500 in one year on vet bills. I don't know what we would do without them. The reimbursements do take about 3-4 weeks to come in so you will have to pay upfront--for us that works well. You'll also want to sign up as soon as you're able (like as soon as you know you're adopting or they're born) to avoid any preexisting conditions being on record. However, the online and mobile interface are pretty darn easy to use and make submitting claims very easy and convenient. I am so grateful for the peace of mind that I get from using Petsbest! We love them!

Fairly Quick and Per the Plan - Satisfied

Pet's Best provided relatively quick claims processing for a recent cystotomy our dog required, and even provided interim status updates when they were slightly delayed. Payments were made exactly per the plan that I purchased. Satisfied customer.

Bait and switch..

Can't log into web site. Their password reset option does not work. They don't answer their customer service phones. Avoid!

Very late in paying claims

Very late in paying claims. Over a month and they are in “review “. Tried calling a few times, but phones are always tied up for 15 min or longer.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
