Run from them

This company is absolutely worst they fue y pay my claim I had to sue them abs after I won’t they still appealed my court case. If you are looking for a good company and protection for your pet please please stay away from pets Best. They are no good and will find anything to decline your claim. Horrible company with zero care for your pet it’s all about what’s best for the companies pocket book.

No way to cancel/alter policy

The insurance isn't bad, the pros outweigh the cons. But I'm struggling financially right now and have to cut the expense, and there is NO help whatsoever in doing so. No links on the website, no direction from Google, no one picks up the phone, they will say they can work with you on payments but there just isn't a way to alter or cancel the plan. I'm just STUCK with it. I've tried calling, emailing, clicking every button on the website to find a way. Nothing. It's such a scam.

Wait time on claims is a real problem…

Wait time on claims is a real problem averaging 39 days according to the customer support person with whom I had a dialog. Anything over 1-2 weeks should set off an alarm that changes need to be made in the handling of claims. Covid is no longer a valid excuse for performance issues since vaccines are readily available and have been for months.

on the fence...

I got this insurance for my puppy who is now a year old, They process the claims quickly and it's quite easy to submit a claim. They don't cover as much as i thought they would . when she was spayed it cost over $900, and they paid about $90...very disappointing. At this point I would have been better off without insurance. I guess if something big were to happen it might be worth it.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
