I’m shocked that none of my dogs Vet…

I’m shocked that none of my dogs Vet visits, surgery’s, etc we’re covered. I pay $417.70 a year for pet insurance and out of $300.00 + expense, nothing was covered. Why have pet insurance. I can take the $400. + and apply that to vet visits throughout the year instead of paying an annual pet insurance premium that doesn’t cover vet office visit & procedures!

I was surprised at how little was repaid

I was surprised that not as much was covered for my dog as last year for Scooby's annual exam and shots. Last year, everything was paid for, but this year they only paid half (I already met the deductible for the year). I am a little disappointed, but it is still worth it paying for the insurance just in case there is an emergency.

Takes close to 2 months to get paid back

It’s takes a month and a half to get paid out. With covid that time frame was even longer. It’s decent otherwise. But just really hate how long they make you wait. When you call in to inquire the staff is rude and doesn’t offer any information other than the time frame turnaround.

Waste of Money

Waste of money monthly. Pets Best covers very little and is not worth the cost. You’re honestly better off and putting the money you pay a month towards treatment.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
