Worth it

Every claim I have submitted has been processed quickly, and has paid out what I was expecting when I signed up. Having insurance gives me peace of mind knowing I can provide the best care to my beloved dog.

Expensive, but new claim service excellent.

The cost is expensive when your dog is older. There should be a reasonable cap on what you charge. Your new online claim service is excellent.

Quick Turnaround

Amazed in more way than one

We have never been disappointed with Nationwide pet insurance. Monthly cost are affordable. The claims process is simple and fast. Would definitely recommend to other pet owners.

Nationwide is definitely on my side!

I was a long time VPI pet insurance policy holder and advocate. I thought that VPI was amazing but once Nationwide took over VPI I was scared. I was hesitant to continue with the coverage but I decided to “see what happens” and I am very glad that I did. Nationwide has been a blessing and they are even better than VPI in my opinion. The coverage is fantastic. They are helpful, kind and they really do care about my little Sophie. They check on her after vet visits. They remember her birthday. When I submit a claim it is processed in a reasonable amount of time. Nationwide is so wonderful as a pet insurance company. My little dog has better health insurance coverage than I do and it’s less expensive. I can’t say enough good things about Nationwide. If you are on the fence about pet insurance and you are wondering who to go with look no further. This is money well spent. Nationwide really is on your side 🥰

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
