Nationwide - No hassel Insurance

I have had Nationwide insurance for about 2 years and have had numerous high cost claims that have been reimbursed without any pushback from them. All reimbursement payments have been paid out in a timely matter which has helped tremendously when dealing with a long term injury and multiple specialty vet visits. Without this pet insurance i don't think we would have been able to afford the care our loved one needs.

Quick to pay!

Nationwide has been very good at paying for most of my dog’s vet visits and medical issues. They process quickly and are quick on sending reimbursement. I am a bit perturbed that there is a limit on paying for repeat office visits for Urinary Tract Infections. But overall they have been good.

You're happy to take our money and even happier to deny claims

Just like typical insurance companies who deny claims for stated "preexisting condition", even though it wasn't. You're very happy to take our money, but refuse to cover valid claims. Will be looking at replacing and/or firing your company in the very near future.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
