FINALLY Found the right coverage!

Nationwide has been a dream! After using other pet insurance brands (am I allowed to name them here? I would happily but don't want to have my review denied!) who would cover only some treatments but not the actual visit to the vet (which makes 0 logical sense, you obviously have to go to the vet to get the diagnosis...) I was fed up. Friends who have two frenchies suggested Nationwide and I'm never going to another pet insurance provider! They make submitting claims so easy with the VitusVet app and their customer service reps were helpful and patient the only time I've had to call in with a question about a claim! We recently moved from the city and our little dude has had horrible allergies and run into other issues with his stomach, and thanks to Nationwide I felt completely comfortable going to the vet and having them run the tests they needed to in order to get him taken care of. if you love your pet, give them (and yourself) the gift of Nationwide pet insurance - you will be SO glad you did!

Fast processing

Rocco had to have exploratory surgery because he ingested something he shouldn’t have. Nationwide covered most of the surgery and processed the claim super fast. So grateful for Nationwide

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
