Nationwide Has Your Back

I have had insurance for my Irish Wolfhound since I got him at 10 weeks old. While nothing major has happened yet, everything with this insurance has been a breeze. We've had a couple minor illnesses, a diagnosis of food allergies and a neuter. Highly recommend!

Having this insurance saved my dog

Nationwide's Whole Pet with Wellness plan has been such a life-saver and is worth every penny. My dog needed 2 surgeries which cost almost $10,000. With the 90% coverage, it made it an easy decision to go through with both surgeries. It is so easy to submit a claim through the app, and they are quick to get me the reimbursement directly into my bank account. Highly recommend!!

Nationwide is the BEST

Nationwide has been amazing. They are always available if I have a question about my coverage and are a life saver when it comes to cost. I would have lost my dog for sure if I didn't have Nationwide to help cover the cost. Thank you for giving me the ability to get my dog the very best care she can get and giving me the most time possible with her.

Peace of Mind

Having Nationwide Pet Insurance gives me peace of mind. I've rarely had to use it for anything other than routine exams, vaccines and meds, but recently Oliver had some blood work come back a little off. Knowing that Nationwide is there allows me to focus on making sure he is healthy and not worrying about vet bills!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
