Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I have generally been happy with my insurance coverage, except for one big issue. My puppy had two bouts of diarrhea due to eating something he shouldn't and has been branded as having a pre-existing "gastroenteritis" issue. That means that if he stays healthy for 6 months they might reverse this. Right now he is labelled as chronic and nothing digestive-related will be covered. He has had ZERO issues with his stomach since, but when I and my vet have tried to get this reversed they refused. (In fairness, I guess I may have been within the 6 month period), so I am hopeful they will reverse this "Final Decision," but that remains to be seen. I am concerned simply because this is a healthy dog with no health issues, but what if in a year or two he has a stomach problem? That would be unfair! So… the jury is out to see if Nationwide plays fair and reverses my dog as having a chronic stomach issue when he doesn't.

I thoroughly researched before purchasing insurance for Roman. Nationwide has been outstanding in every respect. I am so pleased. Claims are processed quickly. There is always a person to speak with. The coverage is fantastic!

We are very pleased with how easily our puppy Coco's claims were to be filed and reimbursed through Nationwide. It was an easy process and very simple.

4th and 5th dogs insured with them over the last 30 years- service experience and quality of plans gets better with each pet.

I would recommend buying health insurance to my friends and I am very happy with the service i receive from them. Claims are processed quickly. I like having an on-call vet available to ask questions. Sometimes, I just don't understand why something isn't covered but overall, I'm satisfied with the service I receive.
