So glad I made the decision to go with Nationwide (VPI) to insure my cat.

Great coverage... it does take a while for the claim to get processed though. But I am just happy there is such a thing as pet insurance. I never had it with my last cat, and wish I had known about it then.

Great turn around on claims

Nationwide has been great on the turn around on claims submitted. My dog has gotten ill twice in the last couple months and they were awesome in getting the claim approved and reimbursed me.

Nationwide has my dog's back (and the rest of her too!)

Nationwide was the best decision I made when I got my dog. I knew there was always a chance something could happen to my dog that would be very costly. I never want to be in the position to have to make a choice on my dog's health based on my bank account. Nationwide has given me the peace of mind in the care of my dog. As (bad) luck would have it, my dog needed costly knee surgery after 1 1/2 years of owning her (she is now 3).. Nationwide made the process stress-free (money-wise) and I got the reimbursement very quickly. Thank you Nationwide!

Honest and Efficient

Nationwide has been extremely efficient and honest in processing claims for my pet. The electronic claims filing process makes everything easier and quicker. I have never had to pick up the phone to speak with a representative.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
