My dog has better health coverage than I do

Short and sweet, Nationwide has been simply the best. It is everything that I hoped it would be, and then some. My sweet boy is a giant breed. His vet costs aren’t cheap. I’m happy I have Nationwide by my side to help me cover the costs.

Finally Pleased

A near death experience over Christmas left me with nothing nice to say about Nationwide’s coverage for Bella. Surgery costing over $7000.00 in which only $1700.00 was covered left me astounded. And my surprise that this last vet bill of three hundred, for a rash, was paid in full.

So glad I have this insurance.

I have recommended your insurance on all Facebook dog sites to which I belong. I was considering just putting away the money each month in a special account. Puppy Scarlett swallowed many things that she shouldn't have and had to have ER visit and endoscopy. I never would have had enough money saved at that time!y

Worth it

I am very thankful for having pet insurance ! It really help with the cost of my dogs vet bills . The only improvement I would like to see is better communication. Claims should only take 30 days to process and mine took longer than that . I think just a friendly email saying that sorry for the delay but we are still processing your claim we will keep you updated every two weeks or so ? Once I did contact nation wide to check on what was going on with my claims I got a very fast response and then within days my claims were processed ! That was very nice

There for us when we really needed it

We’ve been glad to have insurance for our dog in many situations but none more than our last experience. Our dog had to have emergency surgery and stay in the hospital for 3 nights following. It was one of the scariest experiences of our lives. The comfort of knowing our insurance would be able to help with the cost allowed us to never hesitate in making sure our dog got the right care and fast which was absolutely critical. I cannot recommend having pet insurance more, it saved us!

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
