Extremely Pleased

After reviewing several pet health insurance plans we decided to go with Nationwide and we are extremely pleased. Unfortunately, we have had to use the Vet Help Line, Major Medical, and Pet Wellness Options even though our male boxer is only 11 months old! Nationwide has always went above and beyond with their customer service, taking as much time as needed to explain what is covered through our policy. The payments are very easy, especially with the electronic payment options. We have not experienced anything negative with Nationwide through the numerous claims that we have filed.

Wonderful customer service!

To file a claim is so easy and speedy reimbursement received. The emergency clinic wrote the wrong account number when submitting my claim, but it was quickly corrected and taken care of, and processed. Great customer service, very friendly and helpful. Thank you

Claims could be quicker

The claims process could be faster in receiving the funds back as this may be funds needed for other bills living wise but were used for the pet because it was an emergency. So getting the funds back from the claim quicker is very important. Especially when the itemized bill is sent showing the breakdown.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
