Total SCAM company.

Total SCAM company. They would drop the insurance when pets may need it the most at older age. Started with less than $100/month in 2016, which is now at $213/month for over a year. And now they are dropping my dog's insurance completely. They have scammed me out over $13k for nothing. I wish I had a savings account for my dog, which I am starting now. I hope my dog stays healthy for another 6-8 years.

Intentional Fraud / False Advertising

Intentional Fraud / False Advertising / Material Misrepresentation Do not trust this company, my Agent made false statements and promises about my policy to make his sale. He promised me 100% coverage on my pet with zero exclusions and claimed that “No matter what happened to my pet it would be covered” back over 3 years ago when I first purchased my policy. I had a $1,500 surgery on my dog and they covered only $16!! After countless attempts to collect my money and countless attempts for them to make it wrong, they claim that I should have read the terms, and took zero responsibility for the actions of their agent that sold the policy. Over the years they have changed many different things about my policy and what I’m covered for which has repeatedly forced me to come out of pocket for their actions and practices that have been carried out in bad faith! It’s all about the money with this company, even though they claim to be their for your pet, they would rather protect their money rather than protect your pet regardless of their claims to do so!!! Somehow I signed up for an insurance policy that didn’t cover common issues with my breed! I told them to pull up the recordings of what their sales person claimed when they sold me the policy, but nationwide “doesn’t keep their recordings for that long” and that I should have read the policy in full, contrary to what my agent told me on the phone. They took aero accountability for their negligence, and left me with the bill after spending thousands of dollars a year for my policy! The agents, the managers, and the supervisors were all super disrespectful, telling me to kiss my dog for them after jokingly telling me “well we aren’t going to pay for that” “so have a good day give Lucy some kisses for me” (exact words) from Nancy Kuchmecki-Lowe, Member Care Team Manager/Supervisor!! She claims it’s “okay” for agents to tell you misleading information regarding policy’s. She is a real class act that should never set foot in any supervisor role. I can’t wait to get in contact with the VP in regards to the matters and see how this is handled.

Sneaky Astronomical Rate Increases

Nationwide increased my rates from $500 per year to $2500 then tried to trick me when I called to check. I signed up for this insurance through my employer when they started offering it. I was not made aware that the price would go up as my dog got older. I'm trying to get my employer to stop offering this scam insurance. Don't buy from this company thinking you'll have a policy when your dog gets old. You won't. $2500 a year for a policy that only offers $7500 of coverage is a BAD DEAL

Nationwide whole pet policy

I’ve had Nationwide whole pet policy since we got my dog at 9 weeks she is just about to turn 3. We got a non-renewal notice saying they will no longer be offering whole pet coverage in my state. I got this policy because it covered stuff other plans would not. Now since being spayed she has an incontenence issue and that won’t be covered with another insurance. Nationwide you s*ck. Don’t trust them if you want longevity.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
