Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I’d rather have this insurance and not need it, but a little over a year ago our Golden became very ill and needed emergency care. Having this insurance took a great deal of stress away knowing that a large part of his expensive treatment would be covered. I appreciate how our vet submits our claims and within a few days Im notified that it is being processed. A few days after that an email tells me the amount of our reimbursement and then the check arrives within s week of that. Any questions are always answered politely and professionally. Thank you, Nationwide!

I don’t remember pet insurance being a “thing” when we brought our Aussie home in 2015, but by 2016 when we found our doodle, it was becoming a bit more popular in our area so we got some quotes. Best. Investment. Ever. We don’t always have years where we even hit our deductible. But then we have years like this one where our Aussie had a UTI and our doodle managed to eat something that lodged itself in his stomach all within a matter of a week and we were looking at over $7,000 in vet bills about a month before I would be starting my maternity leave. Needless to say, my husband and I were very, very happy to have this in our back pocket and able to care for our dogs and not worry about the finance side of things.
