Invaluable

I have had this insurance now on 4 of my golden retrievers. It is invaluable and gives me comfort knowing there is help if my pet needs expensive medical treatment. My dogs travel a good bit as I show them in obedience. Because of this they require all updated vaccines, check ups, etc. When one of my golden retrievers got sick, we discovered he had to have his gallbladder out. Can't say enough about the coverage from this insurance meant to us. It enabled us to do the surgery in the least invasive way. I felt I owed that to my boy, who just had gotten back from competing at Westminster in obedience in New York. We were thrilled to be able to do this with the shortened recovery time.

Claims for my pet are promptly handled and if further information is needed it is request in a timely manner.

My pet has had a number of problems in recent years and I have filed a number of claims. All have been treated fairly and I have no cause for complaint since my policy provides the information that will be reimbursed.

Peace of mind and a helping hand!

I love my dog, Indy, and I would do anything to make sure he lives a happy and healthy life. It is great to know that I don't have to worry and I can depend on Nationwide to help with the bills - even his yearly exam. I am able to give him the best care my vet can offer!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
