My teeny baby was throwing up

My 1.8 pound chihuahua was throwing up and drooling excessively. Due to having insurance I didn’t not even think about the cost or how much what test would cost. I know the Nationwide would reimburse me and help me keep my baby healthy.

Good coverage and easy claims

The plan we have is great coverage for a decent price (we’re willing to spend the little extra per month than we already spend to have peace of mind). Claims are easy to make through the app. I do wish they would combine the website and app with other Nationwide sites so you don’t have to go through multiple sites to view all of your insurance products. Sometimes claims can take a while (4-6 weeks) to be settled.

The Claim Process Is Easy and Fair.

My beautiful boxer boy had to go to the Vet on 4 occasions due to a Bacterial Infection in both ears and on his muzzle. I scanned all 4 invoices at one time and this claim process is easy since I don't submit bills or payments on-line. I then received the reimbursement within 3 1/2 weeks. I would definitely recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to other Pet Parents.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
