Thank you for helping cover Pauly D's recent vet expenses even if it was slow to process and issue a reimbursement!

I am happy Nationwide covered Pauly's recent vet expenses related to a herniated disc. It was so easy to submit claim forms online. I am still waiting on my reimbursement check though, which says it was approved on 10/16, today is 10/30. I think next time I will choose direct deposit. I am still very happy knowing they are on Pauly's side and will help to offset the cost of unexpected vet bills. Our bill was $3000+ due to an MRI to diagnose sudden pain in his neck and carrying his head low.

So far, Nationwide has been a huge help

There are a lot of negative reviews about Nationwide, but so far we have had pretty good luck with them (except they denied one of my dogs because of her IBD... She isn't even on Prednisone anymore and has no internal damage or issues and they still won't cover her.) If they would have approved my other dog for coverage, and didn't get rid of the whole wellness for dogs under 1 year of age they'd get rated at 10/10. (I would have signed 4 puppies up for the whole wellness plan!). However, we have had Nationwide with two of our dogs, and they've been pretty good. Reimbursement can take a while, but they cover A LOT of issues. Their deductible, coverage, and reimbursement rate is unlike any other company. They truly are the best value for your money. (If you sign up for Whole wellness! NOT major medical with wellness). I have referred numerous people over to Nationwide, because they give me comfort in knowing my pets are covered.

Always had positive results on claims.

Never any surprises. This is my 3rd pet coverage with Nationwide Pet Insurance. Now you don't have to wait for a reimbursement check to come in the mail. You can choose to have it deposited directly to your bank account.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
