Helpful but takes a while
I have had VPI and now Nationwide for the past 7 years and it has helped me tremendously. The process to submit a claim is very easy but the turn around time seems very long. If I had one recommendation it would be to implement a 5 day response time but other than that it has been good.

They make vet care affordable
I adopted a five year old Siamese who had no medical or dental attention for five years. Nationwide stepped right up to the plate and covered her spaying and her dental needs - NO waiting time, coverage was immediate. She has had a couple of issues in the time I have had her and Nationwide was there for us each time. They make it possible for me to afford to take my baby to the vet without having to worry so much about the cost. I have the whamma jamma policy ($250 deductible and then 90% - 10%; SO WORTH IT! I am so very grateful.

Nationwide Pet Isurance gives me peace of mind
Having pet insurance is one of the most important decisions I’ve made for my puppy. There are so many times i would have debated on bringing her to the vet because of the cost, this insurance allows me to take her when i have any concern instead of debating it. The 24/7 vet helpline also lifts a weight and helps me decide if the vet is totally necessary. I won’t have a pet without it ever again!

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
