Difficult to deal with

I have found you very difficult to deal with. Casper had surgery in August which you have yet to reimburse for along with followup visits. You asked for more information which was sent and you still have not responded. When I tried to insure my other dog last year and unbeknownst to me she had bone cancer, you accused me of a pre-existing condition. There was no prior vet visits for this condition even after I sent you all the files. My other dog is now insured with Trupanion who are much easier to deal with. You can be sure that if I get another dog, Nationwide will not be the insurance company I will go to.

Finally received a payment

This is the first time any condition was paid for, a broken tooth. This is particularly egregious because the dog suffered a torn ligament long after we acquired the insurance and it cost us over $4300 for the surgery, etc. It turned out that the condition was not covered during the first year after buying the insurance. It was not a preexisting condition. There is a long list of conditions not covered during the first year, but short of clairvoyance, it is impossible to know that these will occur--plus who pays attention to such a long list of conditions that have never existed.. So I suggest that buyer beware, and pray your animal does not incur any of these conditions during the first year of insurance coverage.

Nationwide is very responsive in the processing of their claims

Nationwide is a pleasure to deal with. Their customer service is excellent and they are very efficient in the processing of claims. I have already recommended them to a friend who has signed up with them.

By far this is the best pet insurance company you can buy. Easy claim forms, friendly courteous staff, quick payment deposited into your account and able to upgrade your pet’s policy as needed. .
