prompt processing and reimbursement recieved in short period of time

When I call to annually review policies for my 4 pets, the office is very helpful and always guides me through the policy choices. I have great covers for all 4 cats and I have recommended Nationwide to many friends and family members.

You rock!

Submitting a claim was super easy and having pet insurance gives me great piece of mind. Getting reimbursement for my claim took longer than normal but that was because the vet did not include their diagnosis on their paperwork, which was not Nationwide's fault. However, once I got updated paperwork from the vet, Nationwide handled my claim quickly. Thank you for everything you do!

Great insurance with a slow turnaround time

It's great to have insurance on our pups because they tend to somehow get hurt a lot. My only complaint is having to cover costs and then get paid back versus having a card to use. We also have to submit so much claim information and the turnaround time takes forever. With our other dog we have had no issues, however with our pup we haven't gotten all the claims resolved yet and we are waiting for reimbursement. I'm glad to be working with Nationwide and highly recommend it, but just know you come out of pocket and the reimbursement takes a month or so.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
