Feel like family

The form was easy to complete and submit. Nationwide acknowledge the claim and that they were working on it, so I was never wondering if it was received. A detailed explanation was given with my reimbursement check and it was easy to look up the explanation on my plan in further detail.

Great Insurance Company

Choosing Nationwide Pet Insurance was one of the best things I've done since adopting my cat. He's had a couple of health problems and having insurance to help with the cost has taken some of the burden off. Nationwide is great. You guys are prompt and effective. The couple of times I've had to call, I had great customer service. I had an issue earlier this year and had to speak with a supervisor. She was able to get my claim resolved and even called me back when she said she would. I recommend Nationwide to all my friends with pets.

Nationwide has saved us in caring for our injured dog

If we did not have nationwide insurance on Logan it would have been very difficult to care for him properly after his injury. They have been quick to reimburse and totally reasonable with coverage. So greatful!

BEST INSURANCE EVER!

Chubby, under this insurance is so healthy. He just had his teeth clean, thank you for the coverage, by the way, and though he did have to have one extracted, his overall health is GREAT. I feel so blessed to have this coverage, and feel confident that under this current coverage, he will be with us a very long time.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
