Glad I have insurance on my baby.
Pet insurance is a very good idea. I think Nationwide offers the best coverage. I am happy with it, although it increased a bit.

The claim was paid fairly but the processing time is slow

Takes a long time to get payment from you!!
I have been with VPI for 11 years with my two cats. Prior to you taking over the program, my re-imbursement was within a few days. With you, it is always close to a month. Also, Dolly is in need of I 131 Iodine treatment, as she is allergic to the medication. When I called to verify that VPI would pay $425, the agent was less than helpful. I am still wondering how the policy works, and I don't think that is fair to me. Our human health has pre-approval--why couldn't she just tell me that $425 would be paid or not. It's not going to affect my decision to do the 131 treatment.
I enjoy having the pet insurance, however, I think you could have better customer service. And, I would recommend you to people, as I am not aware of any competition you may have. It comes in handy when something goes wrong with your pet!

Took longer to pay claim
Took longer than usual to pay claim. In the past, it has been less than 10 days. This time, it was 30 days. Otherwise, service was great.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
