Takes over a month to respond to a claim!!

It takes WAY TOO long for someone to look over the receipts and approve or reject a claim. The last claim I submitted had ALL the receipts and was a large dollar amount. I didn't receive an email until a month later that they thought I was missing something. I wasn't missing anything and resubmitted the SAME receipts and finally got an approval. I would NEVER recommend Nationwide to anyone. The only reason I use it is because we get it through work. Very disappointed on how long it takes to get anyone to respond to a claim. Every claim I have submitted has taken a month or longer to process.... It's incredibly ridiculous.

We recommend your pet insurance to everyone we know!

Extremely satisfied with Banjo's "whole plan coverage" and the quick turn-around of reimbursements. Our vet clinic also considers you to be the finest pet insurance available!

Nationwide is good once they complete the claim-it seems like they take a long time to process=like trying not to pay claim

When claim is processed and says can review EOB - it would be great if the eob showed all charges individually and what was paid on each individual charge instead of lumping all charges together The claims I am talking about below still have not been processed

Good except for claim reimbursement

As I look back on my claim history with this company, from 2017 on back the claims were paid in a matter days. Now it is a matter of weeks or a month+. I do need my reimbursement at least in time to pay the credit card on which the vet bill was invoiced.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
