Nationwide makes it very easy to submit claims and is very timely in paying the claim.

Nationwide makes it very easy to submit claims. The review of the claim is very time efficient. Claim payments can be done electronically with in a couple of days of review of the claim. They make it easy for people with busy lives!

This is the best pet insurance we have ever owned, strongly recommend them.

We have had other insurance in the past, but Nationwide Pet Insurance has been outstanding. They are always there when you need them. Hunter was attacked by a forked horn buck in the yard, he was cut up pretty bad. Thanks to the insurance, most of the vet bills were covered thankfully!!

Prompt and Exceeded My Expectations of an Insurance Company

As a puppy Quinn has probably had more claims than he will have for the next 5 years. Nationwide has been prompt with the payments and with no issues. I am so glad that I covered him when I adopted him at 4 months. He had a persistent ear problem that would not seem to go away which meant a number of claims were submitted. The Vet was able to diagnose his ear issues as an allergy to poultry products.

Valuable

Insurance for our dog is compressive and value-add for us. Additionally the administration is easy & efficient. I wish my health insurance was this effective!

Better than human insurance!

Easy to submit claims - prompt reimbursement. Customer for over 10 years. Can’t imagine having a beloved pet as a family member without this coverage.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
